Keyword DNA

A keyword is what brought you to this page.

You entered a keyword (likely a keyword phrase) into your favorite search engine (86% chance that you used Google) and, since this blog site anticipated the word or phrase you used, you ended up here after clicking our entry that was listed on the search engine results page (which appeared following the entry of your keyword).

A Most Vital Element
Keywords are virtually indispensible in the field of internet marketing.  No, they are not the only method used for advertising or bringing purchasing traffic to websites, but their use is way out ahead of whatever is in second place in the list entitled “Ways to Attract Buyers to an Online Marketing Site.”

The purpose of this blog will be to show you things about internet marketing that will, hopefully, teach you methods that can earn you some money.  For example, how did we anticipate the keyword phrase that you used to end up here?  What did it cost us, if anything, to do that?  And, other fun topics.

Limited Scope
But, the name of this blog is Plan to Earn Online.  We need to talk about those keywords in light of that title.  It’s almost like the first thing we need to learn is how to select the words we enter into the search engines.  Those words reveal a lot about the persons that are doing the searching.  For example, almost 90,000 people each month search for “work at home jobs.”  And that’s great, but the particular job to do at home is unspecified.  Ninety thousand people don’t care what they do, as long as they can do it at home.  And who can really blame them for not wanting to sit in rush-hour traffic twice a day?  But, outside of that advantage, we’re talking about everything from lemonade stands to Tupperware.  Unspecified.

But, Planner, don’t you think that’s being a little picky?  Maybe they just wanted to keep an open mind about what they would do at home.  OK, maybe.  But, noting again the title of this site, they may be disappointed when we talk exclusively about earning income through a computer with internet access.  Perhaps we can assume that’s what they really meant since they put that phrase into an internet search engine through a computer.  But these are the very details that need to be addressed in making money on the internet, particularly when keywords—and the phrases in which they are used—are so critical to the online earning process.  Just trying to establish some boundaries, here.

So, OK, I’ll give you that one.  I’m just being overly critical of that group.  After all, they had to have been online to use the search engine.  No problem.  Benefit of the doubt.  Great.  But, then I look over at another group that used the keyword search phrase containing the words “free” or “no investment.”  A monthly average of over 105,000 searchers used phrases such as “online jobs without investment” or “earn money online no investment” and “make money online free” and “free money.”  Well . . . the lottery immediately comes to mind.  But, even that costs a buck.  That’s the only source of (nearly) free money I can think of.  (And, we’re not even counting almost 3,500 searchers monthly who, again, didn’t specify online earning.  Just lemonade stands without investment.)

“Free” Won’t Hunt
Look, we don’t want to spend any more than we have to for the startup to our online earnings, but let’s be realistic: if you perform any type of (serious) online marketing, you’re going to have to have, at minimum, a website.  That will require hosting to the tune of $30 to $120 annually.  We’ll be looking at business plans that don’t require a website to start, but those have other, associated charges.  I can’t think of any worth-while income-producing endeavor that has ever cost nothing to start.  Is this free mindset due to so many people thinking that the internet is a something-for-nothing realm?  Or is it just the way we’ve been brought up, expecting more from little or nothing?

There you go again, Planner, expecting the worst from people.  Maybe “free” is just a “starting point,” like a negotiable opening offer.  Maybe they’ve heard that scammers on these types of deals charge a lot of money and they want to declare their trepidation toward that from the outset.  Maybe, but anyone who shies away from a project that they expect to make money from just because there is expense involved, isn’t being very logical.  Many successful internet marketers have started their businesses on a few hundred dollars or less.  If that kind of seed money is beyond the reach of anyone contemplating a foray into earning online income, they should save themselves further anguish and try something else.

Double Oxymorons For Earning Online
And finally, for the 63,000 people and another 110,000 who used search phrases containing the words “easy” and “fast,” respectively, I must say that these particular characteristics could also be “stoppers” for some people.  Many of the projects we’re going to explore in this blog are anything but easy, and rather, will actually take work to accomplish–at least at the beginning until they reach a point of self-sustaining equilibrium.  And, almost none of the plans to earn online that we’ll be talking about can be done quickly. Rather they will take a period of months to establish and sometimes even longer.  So, if “easy” and “fast” are in your business startup lexicon, we once again suggest that you devote your effort and time elsewhere.

Other than that, we believe you can profit handsomely if you apply the business models from the expert marketers that we will be presenting to you here.
